While the matriarch, as of late, was more inclined to keep to the base of The Nameless Mountain, she recognized there was plenty to be discovered within this place without a name. Hydra worked her muscles as she made her way up, though did not stop until the air further thinned. Shaking out her furs, and catching wind of impending snow, Hydra moved toward where the land seemed to indicate it would flatten. While she had not yet reached the top of the mountain, Hydra had made decent headway there... the bridge between the stars and the earth felt small, here. Moving on a narrow path, soon enough the landscape was open and sprawling. A lake cradled between two stony peaks covered in snow here and there could be seen, and in it would have been the reflection of the galaxy above were it not for the season.
Descending to it, the matriarch marveled to see it was covered in a thin film of ice that was so clear, she could see through it. Placing her weight upon it, it did not move nor flex beneath it; she withdrew the foreleg that had tested it, and looked idly over her shoulder. The wind howled, but nothing, nor no one, else. She looked upward now, to gaze at the stars; she sought more familiarity, here. What were the stars her father had told her she could see during this time of the year...? Would they, at least, be found?
