The matriarch scoured Stone Mountain once more. It seemed this place had found many, now; she recollected the first time she had encountered the stout place, and despite it being full of trees and wildlife it had been barren of scents of her own kind. Now, though, that had changed; it ignited some semblance of hope in her to come across a trail she might recognize. Thoughtfully, Hydra lifted her head to call to any who might recognize her voice through alerting them of her own presence: I am here. The world quieted around her for a moment, and Hydra pressed ahead, none too worried about anyone else that would surely have heard her. Perhaps they themselves might have answers to provide...
And if they only wished to give her trouble—well, they still would need to answer to her... though they were less likely to enjoy the way in which they would come to do so. Unless they were a masochist. They would just enjoy themselves to their last breath, and then they could rest knowing they would never reach such gratification again. Hydra could be quite the giver, when she wished.
Licking her chops, she sniffed at the roots of a tree. No scent she recognized there, which was unfortunate, but she was a patient woman and the day was young yet. One way or another, she was certain she would find something of interest.
