The night came and the cool winter breeze brushed by. No one was there, and then he was there. A flicker of the light in the midst of the darkness, opening their twin-casted gaze to see an unfamiliar land with a wince. Awakening to see nothing of the sorts, the streets they called, the home they grew, and the fires they knew too well — and even their own self, was unfamiliar. Eyes looking to see paws that gave and amused smile, "what is this?" so their voice croaked in the night.
The wind brushed through their hair, a tail that flickered and ears that could ear far and wide — but even then, what they heard was the quiet rustle of wildlife, a difference from where they once came. Closing their eyes there was a peace, for just a moment, everything felt.. Alright.
Well, it seems they were given something new.
