Not entirely, if the Warqueen was being honest. From slavery to Deputy...it was a quick rise. But where Satan had his first litter to worry about now, Nyra saw no reason to stay.
She felt entirely out of place, love unreciprocated in her mind, and Sovereign felt much the same, place-wise.
Towards the fade between midnight and early morning, Nyra and Sovereign stole away swiftly into the ongoing thunderstorm, the heavy rain covering their scent and the wind their tracks.
They would unlikely ever return here to Satan's domain.
