Finn woke up in a pool of sweat, darting her eyes around in search of anything familiar. Nothing in her gaze was as it was supposed to be, she didn't even know where she was, but that's when she suddenly remembered. She remembered having woken up a couple of hours earlier on a strange beach like area that filled her lungs with salt until she felt as if she was suffocating, the overwhelming urge to cough taking over her as she tried her best not to lose her lunch from earlier. 

Once she felt more "in control" of herself she made an attempt to stand up and began to explore, walking across the shore as her ears twitched every once in a while. Unbeknownst to her, she was incredibly dehydrated and slowly began to lose energy just as she thought she saw a figure out of the corner of her eye. "Hello?!" Her voice was raspy and at first it only came out as a whisper but slowly grew louder, crackling everyone couple of syllables. "HELLO? Is any.. Is anyo.. anyone.. there.." She felt an incredible wave of dizziness begin to overcome her as she made an effort to stabilize herself, but it was too late. Finn collapsed suddenly as her lifeless body thudded against the ground, momentum forcing her onto her side as she would lay there defenseless.

Her chest would rise an fall in accordance with her breathing, shallow, but still there. She was certainly still alive, if you could call it that. Minutes would pass as she continued to lay there, lifeless, all the exhaustion she had experienced permitting anything but a recovery so soon after she had collapsed. Somehow, Finn still knew that someone, or something was there, maybe it was her mind spiraling out of control as she came to terms with the fact that all the while she was seemingly passed out, her mind was not blank, but rather stuck in a lucid dream, one that almost depicted the scene with perfection when it came to detail. Then again, maybe it was just her way of thinking about things as she sat and "watched" the lucid dream in its somehow telling imagery to what was actually happening, after all, this "place" did seem to have a sort of "magic" to it.

Finn's ear would flick away from the figures teeth, completely aware and observant of what had happened as her eyes suddenly opened after a few seconds. It was certainly a delayed reaction, but it was still a reaction as she fought the urge of jumping to her feet, the sight of another being that wasn't a prey item almost soothing her. That was when she remembered to breath, she had been holding her breath the entire time since she had woken up as she suddenly felt her lungs burning, a sharp inhale entering her body as it was filled with the salty air. 

She opened her mouth to speak as a raspy, crackling in her voice continued. "Hello there-" She tilted her head to the side in an attempt to be polite and coughed as the overwhelming urge once more overcame her. "I'm sorry the air is just... quite sharp.." She replied, a failed attempt to swallow following soon after.

She sat and listened to the females voice, soothing her nerves as it reminded her somewhat of her mother whom she had not seen in months and would give anything for to allow it to be her.

“No, not at all..” She struggled not to collapse again stumbling to the side, only proving her point. “I just woke up here one day.” Her voice seemed to trail off, still dizzy and qeuzy as she attempted to study the female.

"Outside the limits of the pungent odor of salt in the air trying to make me starve, no?" She spoke in a joking/playful way, her trusting nature taking over her better judgment as she referred to her coughing fits and struggles not to lose her recent meal. Finnegan now took a moment to truly study her as the frail arm reached out to help establish a firm placement of myself. Her eyes flowed over the vast amount of waves and small streaks of different shades of grey, how if you really tried, you could almost imagine her fur as completely different colors with how drastic the difference in the exact same color, grey. Her eyes were also grey, but these were a much darker, more solemn "tone", something Finn hadn't seen in a while. The figure, which she had now figured out was a wolf was skinny and incredibly lacking in the usual "layer" of skin she would have seen back at home, something that didn't really bother her. After all, maybe it would make the wolf easier to defend against should they choose to attack me in such a weary state, but no, they would have already done that if there was any intention of it.

That was when the sudden need for liquid arose, a deafening thirst overwhelming her above anything else as it was almost like her ears were ringing. "No.. No, what I need right now is water." Her voice was still frail and weak as she fought the urge to bend down at the water's edge, fall mercy to its wishes and wants just for the pleasure of quenching her thirst, but no, she knew better than that.

"Please tell me you're not wondering around with no source of it." She deeply prayed that the female wolf would object to the insanity of not having found a water source, yet again, maybe the female was in no shape better than her based upon the way she could practically see the wolf's ribcage through her fur and skin.

Her immediate reaction was to fight back, to resist the female's jokes, but as Finnegan took the time to think about it, she became more and more intrigued. "You say that as if it's a common request, someone back home subjugates you to be such a 'servant' ?" The word slipped off her tongue as if she were meaning to entice the female into revealing something about herself, something the sly fox could use to her advantage.

Finn turned her head to the waves, and then back to the female before speaking once more. "I never did get your name, Stranger?" After several attempts, Finnegan had finally managed to swallow and it soothed the fire in her throat, allowing her tone to return to its normal range and tone.

"My apologies, I didn't mean to strike such a nerve. It won't happen again." She almost seemed to bow her head in accordance with her words, attempting to make the lies that were spewing from her mouth appear at least somewhat truthful. Finnegan did mean some parts of what she meant, mostly that it wouldn't happen again as she had gotten exactly what she had done it for, she found something that dug into the female and forced her to retaliate, something that could be used if need be.

"I can walk should you lead the way to a place." She replied, being genuine this time, her lies no longer needed, assuming the female didn't see through them from before.

"So you do have someone at home?" She dared to speak, cautious to show the utmost amount of respect at this time, after all, the female may be saving her life. "IF you don't mind me asking about it!!!" She quickly blurted this out before the female could have even registered what Finnegan had said, an attempt to stop her from imposing and making the female even more angry.

As she awaited the wolf's response, she took a moment to glance around at her surroundings, the sound of waves crashing together still there, but definitely muffled and more distant now, almost like they were dying, just like she was.

"Maybe~" There was a bit of playfulness in her tone as she spoke, the way her voice seemed to trail off as to avoid a clear punctuation to the statement. "Besides, if we're the only three animals on this godforsaken island, we might as well get along, shouldn't we?" 

She thought about the possibilities of surviving here, whatever had seemed to bother the female about being a servant clearly did not bother Finnegan as she almost took pride in the thought of it. Maybe it had something to do with the thought of being needed for something, or maybe it was just the natural order of things, the dominant species utilizing their dominion over others.

"Possibly, but I have just as much of a chance as getting killed by one when I'm not trying to be friends with them, might as well increase my chances of survival, right?" She paused briefly, letting a gap of silence intervene before continuing. "Besides, I'm not afraid of death, if a wolf were to eat me, I wouldn't have an issue with it as long as it meant I was being used for something, fulfilling a purpose" The way she spoke was clearly odd, almost crazy. She was clearly displaying how menial she was and how much she longed for that wish of being needed or even wanted so that she was willing to do anything in order to achieve it.

"Over there seems promising." She suddenly spoke up after having taken the time to analyze her surroundings, a small pool of water in a clear-ish opening. She took a step towards it without regard to the fact that she had completely abandoned the female when it came to following her set path. As she arrived, her natural instinct was to just suck as much down as possible, but she took her time, bending down to sniff the water, no salt smell coming from it as she submitted to her instincts, lurching as her head dunked under and she swallowed mouthful and mouthful. Finnegan would be under for what seemed like minutes until her head finally rose with a satisfied look on her face, no longer feeling that deep burning sensation in her throat. 

"So, what are you gonna do with me now?" She spoke out, stating the obvious fact that the wolf had only been there to help her find water and that task had been fulfilled, so what now.

She listened intently as the female seemed like she was going to speak, Finnegan still attempting to catch her breath from having her under the water.

"Perhaps I'll keep you around like a little pet. You like me, don't you."

She looked at the female, her head snapping to look her in the eyes as her heart began to flutter. How badly she wished for that to be true, the want, the need, it was enough to eat her alive. Against her better judgement, or wishes for that matter, her tail because to lash back and forth, exposing exactly how excited those two sentences had made me, how easily I was subdued by just 15 words. 

"That would definitely be something, wouldn't it?" As she spoke to the female, she nor accepted or denied it, not that she even thought she had a choice, but it was also clear that she would enjoy the offer even though she was trying to desperately not seem too excited about it. "You already know how I feel about fulfilling a purpose, no?" Finnegan trailed off, dragging her tongue across her teeth, her maw slightly visible.
