With just a flip of the hood i'm away and out of reach

Skoll somehow decided leaving the borders and exploring was a good decision. It's been quite a bit of time since he's left Empyrean claim, and perhaps now it is because he feels well enough to defend himself if it comes down to it. He could before, but better now. He's not worried that he'll have to drag himself back home a complete mess. When his eyes hit the waters below the cliffs he traversed, Skoll decides it was a good decision to make. 

It's beautiful despite the salty scent. The water is blue - as it should be - Skoll spends some time looking at it. The rushing water feels good to his ears, it's good to be out and exploring again. He still misses hiding within Empyrean's claim. With a huff, now he has to debate going back. His eyes watch behind him to the path he came from. No one followed him. Perhaps he can stay a little longer...

Vendrussel came to check out the cache she had hidden within Whisper Key. It was attempted to hide somewhere in the backdrop under the rock ; she needed to sort through the freshness as it had been some time.. There for safe-keeping, and known to Dragonford members, just another place for a meal. She by no means would be surprised if one day they were all taken — but instead she came to, and it simply.. Ah, rotted away. Quietly decided instead it was probably better to do a new cache instead of tossing them out. Covering it as so..

Ah to re-stock, she rolled her shoulders not really feeling it especially when it was simply an extra. A turning to the ocean would gain an eye to an individual of black and whites ; someone who was quite tall. Lanky though..? "You from Empyrean?" Curious enough, she chuffed from behind to grab the man's attention and looked at him with mild friendliness.

Skoll doesn't think to watch his back this time. 

It could be his downfall, but not this time. 

His fur puffs out like a blow-dried mane as he turns quickly to a new voice. His teeth come out bared at first, but after he finds the stranger standing there useless, well there's nothing he can do but close his mouth and straighten out. It's just a simple question you dumb fuck. Even if he's not the same as before, old habits die hard. The woman doesn't look all that dangerous, but Skoll has learned to never underestimate someone. 

He nods. 

Skoll grinds his teeth. All these wolves making him talk lately. It's starting to get very old very fast. Before, he would listen to others talk, let them talk for him. But now he feels like he has to respond. Clearly she's in a pack, he can smell it on her. Not sure which one though. 

"You?" Short and sweet.

She could see the teeth come out, and for a second her own fur ruffled — a quick preperation to switch the tides, but he hastened himself quickly and drew it back. Her own posture swifted to a neutrality, tilting her head lightly with a narrowed look at the black and white fellow; he had two different eye colors, neither indicated what she remembered from the Ostrega lineage, but he confirmed he was part of them. It had been some time since she saw any from the pack and wondered how they faired well, and if anything would come toward help as a defense. Relations were always pending.

"I am Vendrussel, of Dragonford. Familial, with Empyrean — one of the Alpha's youngs walks in our pack." A point in case they were not entirely unfamiliar, but they weren't complete allies. He had no reason to not at least be at ease with her presence ; Vendrussel doesn't go out of her way to attack strangers.

It's only now Skoll realizes he doesn't know the relations between Empyrean and the other packs. At least he knows how, he supposes. 

"I apologize." Skoll grimaces to himself, deciding here that he should probably talk. 

Attacking someone from an allied? Potential ally? Either way, it would probably break any relations the two packs have - a regretful decision that would definitely give him punishment. The awkward silence is kind of suffocating, but mainly Skoll doesn't know what to say. He doesn't really want to ask about the kid who's living in that pack - whenever that happened - because it's not really his business to do so. Nor does he care all that much. 

"Come here for the view?" Is pretty much all he can think of.

"It's quite alright." Vendrussel would not take it to heart, as she settled upon her hunches and faced the sea, "I often hunt here, as well as the view. It's quite something, isn't it?" She so asked, seemingly ready to carry whatever conversation that there was, and looked toward the view The ocean was always especially pretty, but now that it was midnight.. It was but a black abyss, an eeriness as the moon bounced off it. Something about it was beautifully terrifying.

He forces himself to relax when she says he's fine. At least he hadn't really attempted to step on anyone's shoes. 

Skoll hums in reply about the view, it's really nice with the moon beaming down into the waters. Blue, but sparkling with the reflection from the stars - and moon - in the sky. A perfect moment to draw up into memory for those with a good one. Skoll tries to keep things forever, but he's sure he'll fail one day. Perhaps ittl be for the better. 

"Did you come to hunt now?" He could stretch his legs some more if Vendrussel wanted some help. They might not find anything all that interesting this late, though.

"I thought of it, but it's harder to see the fish ripples at night." She mostly arrived to organize the cache she made at this beach, but it wasn't wise to let someone not of Dragonford to discover so. When she gazed at the sea it was murky.. One's ears could hear the sound of fish, in the distance, breaking the surface tension of the ocean.. But most divers of the sea knew better then attempt to hunt at night, for many beasts swim these waters that could over-size any wolf.

Although she was a risk-taker, more often then not — if this man desired to, she wouldn't mind. So it brought the question, who would start it?
