The Great Boomba

^^As Eira arrived it seemed that there was slight resolution - slight, in that the walrus had retreated, and yet taken Olive away. Riannon was hoisted from the waters and Eira pushed his way to her, one ear turning at the way Tiberius shouted his rage. It was similar to what Eira himself might have said, if he had found Riannon in the same condition. But he didn't know the dark male's intentions with Olive, he didn't know the depth of their connection. And Eira, lowly but devoted, his attentions purely on the !sotaherra. “Lopettaa.” — Stop. It wasn't a pleading tone, it wasn't the whispered words he often offered. It was strong, and it was rough, and it was his utter and whole command.

What good was any of it if they lost them both?

Still Riannon made for the water again as if she could retrieve Olive alone, and it wasn't to be - she could not, no matter the spark in her, no matter the fight she had. Eira lunged then, to collide with Riannon before she could break the water's edge again. “Tuomme hänet kotiin,.” — We will bring her home. He began, one large paw at Riannon's hip to hold her there for a moment. His gaze softened though when he met hers, pleading silently. She had so much to return to - her devotees, her children, and then....there was also him. He removed his paw and began to clean her wound, gentle as he did so. “We'll need more to bring him down,” Eira said, finally addressing the collected wolves.

“But we will take him down.” The bear's tone was finite - there was no question there.

He was too riled up to care to listen to Riannon speak, spewing something or other about losing and he wanted to snarl; did she think she was the only one to have just lost? He rolled his shoulders as he breathed, ragged and furious as he flexed his toes in the snow, uncaring to reach out for Riannon's fleeing form towards the water -- as much as he respected the white waif he was far too gone to care much of anything other than the failure to save Olive and the desire to retrieve her. Her Packmate could stop her this time, seeing as he did little else to in the prior moments. He did, of course, but Tiberius did not cast his molten gaze upon them.

Tiberius vaguely heard Uriel speak and he cast his molten gaze to her that was bright with emotion, rage and disappointment. She reassured him, them, whatever -- bringing a realistic touch to the situation. He wanted her alive. He nodded, sharp and short as he heaved a breath and twisted his angry stare upon the man who he didn't even fucking know, did he fancy himself leader here? "Don't fucken chat to me, mate," he snapped as he twisted his frame away and began his departure, turning his head over his shoulder with a sneer, "i's killin' 'im an' Olive is gonn' be safe." He growled, shoulders bunched up unpleasantly and vaguely, he looked like a caged animal. 

They would find her and they would fight but it would be Tiberius claw and tooth that would end the great blubbery bastard. "I's gonn' gather back up, yeah? We will come back soon ta figure out a further plan." There was no room for anyone to fight him on it; they would seek out help in their own way but Tiberius would get who would be better. He looked to Uriel and dipped his head, flaring his nose before he stalked away as his temper became bright and threatening to break free. ^^

he'd be lying if he didn't admit that he was scared. scared of himself, really, and lashing out at olive once again.

but he didn't want to be away from her. especially not with.

him.


(he knew who he was.)


he trailed after her all the while, but he...

damn how worth it was this?

the land just continues to go, go, go, expanding as if a camera was continually crash zooming onto his face. he had taken a moment, something crucial — he'd lost sight of her and time, and then...

he hears her voice, and though it is distant, it is faint. “um,” his voice is soft, and echo of its usually drawl. “olive?” he follows.

when he arrived there was nothing but broken ice and a scattered bunch of wolves, some of which he half-knew, and the stink of something, large and salty, and, just, olive and fear.

he rounded on the it...int her, the intlorpe... uh...him. the guy. him. him.


(he knew who he was.)


“what the fffffuck,” he hissed, accusing. “wher- whathe..wherrrrrre'sol...olv..wwwhhrrr..” a bunch of words spilled out of his mouth at once, and he clamped his jaws together and gritted his teeth. “where's olive!”

There was a despair, taking hold of some wolves. A glancing toward the two that smell of alpine, names she did not recognize, nor' their pack. Perhaps they were not someone from the arctic, or at the very least were nearby. Smelled of the same of the woman kidnapped — and it looked to sit in their own disarray of losing such a packmate. She sympathized, for losing someone, especially someone close, was always hurtful. Yet she knew not what to say to them, as the male comforted and assured, holding and protecting the other. A yearning, almost a jealousy, that Uriel thought of.

She shook those feelings aside, for none of her own mattered. It was about Olive — and Tiberius had already departed to find more forces. She nodded at him, and watched his figure too disappear to the arctic wildlands.

"I will scout to the west," Uriel declared, "I will return to this very spot once I see her," it was the least, she could do. Her connections were not enough to gain true help, she thought — as being a lone wolf had no allies to call her own. Except as she turned her tail and started her long run to the hunt ; another approached. 

Yet by the time he did, Uriel departed to the west.
