As there was nothing she could do.. Vendrussel was stranded at the isle. War was happening upon the borders as fights came to be and warriors emerging from her ranks, and beserkers from the mountainous pack. When she thought of it her teeth gritted, and could only fall into a chilling atmosphere while sinking into her dens darkness. There was so much to think — to do, but none that the dragoness at the time being could do herself.. And only wait, and hear for the news.
For the time being she would hope something good would come out of it, and prayed to the ancients to look out for her fellow dragons in this time of strife. Not to mention Vendrussel could only rely on them to feed her, as the caches would remain with fish and other animals they brought from the brim. She could limp around the isle all that she could, but no hunting could be done.
The best she could do was.. Wait, and catch. By the beach did she lay for sitting hurt far too much for her leg. She had to carefully lay it out and keep a stick by it, even as it was and keep.. It not crooked. She knew Kei wouldn't want her moving, but staying in the den all day would drive anyone crazy. She could at least try and fish.
Throwing seeds into the water.. Watching the ripples go.. Occasionally would Vendrussel, at a strike of time, slap the water with her paw, and a fish may come forth! But she wasn't fast enough to nip from the air as it landed back to the waters. It was repeated structure of trying to lure these fish near her, where she could grab without much trying.. Whenever she inched forward, a hiss of pain would come from her broken leg being moved too much.
try, and try again, Vendrussel convinced herself.
