The turkeys were back.

He recalled his hunt with Prince Calhoun that led to the culling victory. A few turkeys died and that was fine. It made sure to balance the ecosystem. But they were back, perhaps with a vengeance. Bran watched on the outskirts of the Doe's Range, hiding within the foliage that lingered near the Elk's Crown. He prowled every so often to keep his muscles from tensing up. Why were there so many damn birds? How did they populate so fast? 

Thought was interrupted by the arrival of another wolf. Bran turned to look at them as they walked near, recognizing him but not knowing his name. His shoulder fur relaxed, having been irritated he'd be starting from scratch again. "Do you wish to hunt?" he asked the other Elkshirian, his amber eyes drifting to the gobbling birds "there is plenty to go around." And much more for the cache, if he brought back more than one. If the man did not join...

Well, Bran could easily take down two turkeys alone. As long as he was cautious, there would be no problem.
