Pressing further north, Galatea had traversed along icy grounds and came across a sight she thought she'd never see. In the distance, cloaked within mist, there was a towering structure that appeared to be man-made.

Upon trudging further in, she realized that the structure was a castle. The unmoving husk of a time long gone.

It's presence made her begin to contemplate the existence of humans in this world. After all, what else could've built it? Until now, she'd never come across any evidence of them being here. What exactly had happened to them was a mystery to her.

In spite of how unnerved she felt just standing near the castle, something in the back of her mind urged her to investigate the area further.

He passed through Haldis, expressed his okay-ness to the group. Some sat concerned in his sudden appearance of wounds. They wondered who gave them to him, to which he told them he would explain later.

Even after being patched up by that sweet civilian woman, his ego still burned and festered.

So when the curious raven approached the ruins of a castle and found a pale woman exploring their grounds, a wicked and hungry smile stretched up his maw. Deranged.

The structure reminded him of home, of the past, and the brother that fell by his doing. The healing wound near his heart only ached more at the thought of it.
He didn't hate Hamiel.
Hamiel just had what Erebus wanted.

And the dark-hearted prince couldn't stand that.

At first he stalked the golden girl, fleece like rising sunflowers and dandelions. It was a wretched color. Far too pale, far too sun-like for him to bare.

And that face.

That horrid face.

Like a mismatched amalgamation, white tainted the other half. As if she weren't ugly enough.

So on he went, crept close to the earth like a shadow, moving only when she looked away. The skill of sneak being a source of confidence for him. Though he knew she would soon smell him, so when he got as close as he thought possible, he barked at her.

A snarling, snapping, angry bark.

"Hey ugly!"

He spat to get her attention.

Gala nearly jumped out of her fur, startled by the sudden voice. Ugly. Something twisted inside of her when she heard that word. She knew that she looked unusual compared to most wolves, but they didn't have to be so rude!

Glancing at the source of the voice, she was met with the sight of a male with deep silvery black fur with eyes like burning hot coals. The way he seemed to stalk her along with his expression brought to mind the image of a hellhound. A merciless guardian of the underworld.

The doll nearly shrank in on herself as she gazed at him timidly. It wouldn't hurt to give him the benefit of the doubt and be polite, right? 

"H-hello there. Is there something you need?" she stammered. "If this place belongs to you, I can leave."

His nose upturned, he looked disgusted.

"Not after you've touched it." He sneered.

Every step he made forward melted the snow. All the fibers of white-hating rage in his body could turn the ice on his back into steam if it burned any hotter.

"Stupid, ugly, half faced girl."

Erebus was clearly enjoying letting his frustration out on the woman, the grin on his maw let it be known.

She tracked him.
She waited out of sight and undetected as he probably cried to whomever was within the Everfrost, and followed as the bastard left again.
Why did she do this?
Boredom, simply put.

And she heard the stupid little shit bullying a timid girl as she came closer, from behind him, and downwind.

He seemed so confident, and she just really wanted to knock him down a peg or two since he seemed to think he was hot shit cuz of his fur color.
So, as Erebus spat at this poor girl in front of him, Nyra would come up directly behind him, close enough for her fur to brush his own hocks, and she would let out a loud, guttural growl, hellfire-golden gaze boring into the back of his egotistical head.

Oh, if looks could kill.

Gala began to step backwards, her ears pinned back to her head. Half faced girl, huh?

She recalled the moments right before she had been reincarnated. Having insults spat at her and being treated as if she were an affront to god. The loud shattering as she was smashed to pieces. The cold darkness of the ocean.

This man was just like them, wasn't he?

"Wh-what the hell is your problem?" she retorted as tears pricked at her eyes. "I swear, I never did anything to you!"

Gala soon noticed movement in the corner of her vision, and locked eyes with a white she-wolf hiding herself within the shadows. She then watched as she crept right behind the man and let out a growl that chilled her down to the bone. It caused her to scramble backwards, her paws kicking up a small flurry of snow.

The doll stood there, unable to look away from what unfolded before her.

Nyra moved to stand between him and the girl, her prowl as predatory as the pointed, hungry lick of her lips as she glared directly into his eyes.

"You talk out of your ass a lot, little boy. For certain - your head is shoved up your sphincter, I'm amazed you can still breathe oxygen intstead of suffocating on your own shit with how far up there it is. Now, run home to your mommy." She rumbled, baring her teeth at him in full.
She would lunge at him then, planting her massive bulk right up in his business in a faux-attack display with her tail flagged high and hackles raised as she growled at him through her fangs, like an Alpha to an Omega who stepped out of line.
It would be his only warning to fuck off, otherwise, she would make sure to finish what his ego started.

The golden doll crouched down behind the large she-wolf with her tail tucked between her legs. She was...protecting her? 

Gala watched as she spat insults at him with a knot of dread in her stomach. She was thankful that the woman stood up for her, but she desperately hoped the male would back off and not start a fight. The idea of conflict was terrifying for her, and she was unsure if she'd be able to aid the she-wolf if things went south.

He was arrogant but, not flat out stupid. So he backed away from the two, the look of disgust on his face as he eyeballed them both. The man scoffed at her comment, and thought she talked too much.

"At least I have someone."

As he stepped backwards and away, his head held higher and higher. Until he looked down at them with a glaring orange eye.

"When push comes to shove- no one will protect you when the red moon hangs high." Each word he spoke was laced with guttural snarls.
"You all scramble like rats in burning hay." He spat, before turning his backwards walk into a quickened gate.

Barking one more snarly bark before taking his leave, eyes facing her and watching her until they were both well out of sight.

Exit Erebus!

"You don't know anything, foolish brat." Nyra answered with an amused chuckle. 
Something something red moon, blah blah blah, she rolled her eyes dramatically as the dark boy threw his fit as he retreated with his ego obviously bruised.

She turned away from him, and kicked dirt and snow at him with her back paws as he left, as an action of contempt, facing the timid girl with a face that was much kinder.

Nyra would lower her hackles and sheath her teeth as she asked the bi-colored girl "Are you okay?" 
Her voice was still a bit gruff, but held nowhere near the malice she had for the bigoted asshole that she'd just gotten to leave. The Warqueen would offer her muzzle to help Gala stand up, as a sign of good will towards her. 
The girl had done nothing wrong, and though Nyra was definitely an evil bitch, she still harbored some softness that was rarely seen.

Gala was absolutely confused by the man. First, he decides to harass her for no reason, and now he's talking about something involving the red moon? Everything about it sounded like complete nonsense to her.

Thankfully, he soon began to leave. She watched as his form eventually became smaller and smaller, until he was nowhere in sight.

Gala's fear started to melt away when the woman turned to look at her with a gentler expression. Still a bit shaken up, she gladly accepted her help and stood up.

"I think I'll be alright. Th-thank you so much." With a small smile, she bowed her head in gratitude. "My name is Galatea."

Nyra smiled softly as the girl accepted her help, standing with verbal gratitude and her name to boot.
"I'm Nyra." She introduced in return.
The Warqueen mulled over talking of her pack in the Desert, but it seemed too soon, for the moment...

"Do you live close by?" She eventually asked, tail swaying lightly as she lowered it to her hocks.
"I wouldn't mind escorting you back home if you'd like, in case that racist bastard returns." Nyra offered.
There was many a vile bone in the Queen's body, but even she was not so full of herself as the dark man had been.

Nyra. Gala would make sure to remember that name for as long as she could. It was a powerful yet beautiful name, very befitting of her white-clad savior.

She nodded. "That would be fine, thank you. I mostly reside down south, in the mountains." she replied, slightly turning her head in that direction. "I don't have a pack currently, but I think I'll be fine once I get there."

Nyra nodded a time or two in acknowledgement of Gala's words.
South, the mountains. 
Noted. 
"We should be going then, if you're ready." The Warqueen responded, glancing over her shoulders towards the outside, covered in snow and ice to see if anyone else had shown up, if not that bastard she just chased off. 
So far, just the two of them.

Should we make a thread between Gala, Nyra and Vendrussel where Nyra drops Gala off? Scanned a thread or two of yours where Gala and Vendrussel interacted so thought I'd ask!

The doll nodded, patiently waiting for the signal to leave. "Yes, I'm ready."

Gala never thought she'd be this glad to return to the familiar comfort of the mountains. She was safe now, and hoped that she wouldn't have another frightening encounter like that any time soon.
